(the Hebrew Calendar corresponds to a Lunar cycle of the Moon)  From an Ethiopic-Christian perspective and calculation, where the current year is 2011/7511; these readings from the Scriptures would align to what is known, also as; YeNōḥ – የኖኅ.  This would calculate as the 2nd – ፪, & the 3rd – ፫, of the month of T’Qĭmt – ጥቅምት.  The Ethiopic calendar is solar (with its correspondence to the Sun) aligns to this Sabbath (or Senbet – ሰንበት) in the Ethiopian language of Amharic, which is currently one of the languages of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (the other language being Ge’ez – (ግእዝ).

I welcome you all to a new regeneration of cycle Torah readings!  This is another one of the many interpretations of the Scriptures from the light of Ras Tafari by, I, Lidj Yefdi (or Yefdeyah).

I assure you that if you are patient with me, come with a willing mind and heart(ready to learn), you will receive more than what you might have asked for, in seeking the perspective of a Ras Tafarian’s I-sight (eyesight) into the study of the Scriptures.

So,with this Hebrew Shabbot(or Sabbath day) if those who actually open up their Bibles to read in a Jewish/Hebrew cycle of readings, & thoroughly discern, have come to the opening of  the Torah portions with Yitro – יִתְרוֹ.  On the Jewish or Hebraic Calendar in this year 5777, this Sabbath day would probably fall on the 21stכא, & on the 22ndכב, of the month of Shébât – שְׁבָט, for this week, in this mode of study;  for those out in the diaspora or outside of Jerusalem/Israel.  (The Hebrew Calendar corresponds to a Lunar cycle of the Moon) &, from an Ethiopic-Christian perspective, in what may be known as the year 2009/2029/7509, on the Ethiopic calendar.  This calculation, with its readings from the Scriptures, would align to the 11th – ፲፩, & on the 12th – ፲፪, of the (ወርኀ)month of Yekatït – የካቲት.  In the Scriptures, what is also known as Yotor – ዮቶር.  The Ethiopic calendar is solar (with its correspondence to the Sun) aligns to this Sabbath (or Senbet – ሰንበት) in the Ethiopian language of Amharic, which is currently one of the languages of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (the other language being Ge’ez-(ግእዝ).

Now, for in summation of the study we have in front of us; In this portion of the study of the Scriptures, Jethro (Yitro in Hebrew; Yotor in Amharic), Moses’ father-in-law, hears the all that has happened in Egypt. The miracles of Israel’s departure from Egypt, GOD’s guidance through the wilderness, & his help in the defeat of the enemies of the children of Israel.

Moses-And-Tzipporah-the-prince-of-the-egypt

Now, the children of Israel have sojourned to the dwelling of Moses’ wife(Ts’pporah) and father-in-law’s, land in Midian & pitched camp. Jethro, then advises Moses on structuring the command of the children of Israel into a sort of order of civil officers, after bringing his wife and two sons (Gershom; who’s name has the meaning of “I have been an foreigner in a strange land,” & Eliazar; who’s name has the meaning of, “the GOD of my fatheris mine help & delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh”) from Midian to the wilderness.

israel exodus out of egypt map

Jethro, then entreats the GOD of Israel, sighting him as greater then all gods. Then Jethro took a burnt offering and sacrificed to the GOD of Israel, & broke bread with Moses, Aaron, & all the elders of Israel.

Moses, takes heed to his father-in-law’s words, & assembles all the tribes of Israel and appoints heads over them.  These heads(of the tribes) would discern small matters and only bring matters that were of great concern to Moses, to not wear heavy on him, burdens of an entire nation.

russian-orthodox-painting-of-the-saints

In the third month, of the coming out of Egypt, Israel came to the wilderness of Sinai, from Rephidim. Moses went up the Mount, in the wilderness & GOD spoke to him, calling for Israel to become a nation of priests & a holy nation.

[Ex. 19:5]

Jewish/Hebrew calendarformulated at Hebrew4Christians.com

Whenever GOD came to speak to Moses, to lay out instructions for Israel to follow, GOD came in a cloud of fire upon the Mount in Sinai. Moses then, took instructions of GOD to sanctify the children of Israel & to command them not to come near the mountain, for if they did, they would surely be put to death. Man or beast, should not come near the mountain in the wilderness.

[Ex. 19:1-13]

yitro - parsha [wilderness]

The GOD of Israel also gives to Moses and the Israelites, what is known as the Ten Commandments. No one else goes up, upon the mountain to meet GOD but Moses. Aaron, his sons & the elders of Israel come with Moses but they leave Moses to go further up to receive the instructions at the height of the mountain.

I welcome you all to a new regeneration of cycle Torah readings!  This is another one of the many interpretations of the Scriptures from the light of Ras Tafari by, I, Lidj Yefdi (pronounced Lij, Yef-dee).

I assure you that if you are patient with me, come with a willing mind and heart(ready to learn), you will receive more than what you might have asked for, in seeking the perspective of a Ras Tafarian’s I-sight (eyesight) if those who actually open up their Bibles to read in a Jewish/Hebrew cycle of readings, & thoroughly discern, have come to seek insight) into the study of the Scriptures.  So,with this Hebrew Shabbot (or Shabbat) we move into the opening of the Torah portion with BéHa’álōtecḥ’á – בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ, on the 18th – יח, & the 19th – יט, of the month of Siw(v)an – סִיוָן, in the year of 5776. (the Hebrew Calendar corresponds to a Lunar cycle of the Moon)  From an Ethiopic-Christian perspective and calculation, where the current year is 2008/7508; these readings from the Scriptures would align to what is known as Sítlläkʷ’s – ስትለኵስ, on the 17th – ፲፯, & on the 18th – ፲፰, of the month (ወርኀ) of Sänæy – ሰኔ.  The Ethiopic calendar, which is solar (with its correspondence to the Sun) aligns to this Sabbath (or Senbet – ሰንበት) in the Ethiopian language of Amharic which is currently one of the languages of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (the other language being Ge’ez – ግእዝ).

Readings:

Zechariah 2: 14- 4:17

I Corinthians 10: 6-13

Revelation 11: 1-19

In this week’s portion of the study of the Scriptures, Moses is instructed by God to tell his brother, Aaron to light the seven lamps for the candlestick(Menorah) in the Tabernacle.

Moses, is then also instructed to sanctify the priesthood(Levites) before the entire assembly of the children of Israel.  The children of Israel outstretched their hands forth to consecrate the blessing & cleansing of the Levites among the Hebrews, also for their service in the Tabernacle.

[Numb. 8: 5-18]

The Levites were taken by God to be the firstborn among the children of Israel.  The priesthood were to adhere to Aaron and his sons, and conduct the services and duties in the Tabernacle.

The laws, commandments, and statutes, for the appointed season of the Passover were given to Moses for the children of Israel, in the wilderness of Sinai.  The laws were given in the first month(Abib/Nisan) of the second year of the Israelites’ coming out of Egypt.  The fourteenth day of this month was when the Hebrews were to keep the memorial of the Passover.  (even in the wilderness)

God then spoke to Moses, saying, speak to the children of Israel, that they make two (2) trumpets of silver; for they would be used in the calling of the assembly & for the journeying of the camps.  The rules for the blowing of these trumpets would find an alignment different from that of the blowing of the Shofar.

Moses, heard the people and went before God, not knowing what to do for the weeping and complaining.  God instructed Moses, to gather those of the children of Israel, who were known as the elders(or wise) among them; for God would lift the burden of bearing all of the children of Israel’s problem upon himself.

God then sent a wind that brought quail to the children of Israel, & they did eat but, while the meat was in the process of consumption, a plague of death fell upon them; so much so that like Taberah, the place where the children of had fell away from the grace of God here was named Kibrot Ha Ta’aw[v]ah – (የምኞት መቃብር) קִבְרוֹת הַתַּאֲוָה‎ , or in translation the ( graves of lust ).

Ras Tafari Renaissance writes to give perspective to the Ethiopian commemoration of what is known in Ras Tafarian circles as the “EarthStrong” or Birth date of Ras Tafari, H.I.M.self.  Prophecies were fulfilled, constellations were aligned, what more can we here at Ras Tafari Renaissance say about the birth date, of His Imperial Majesty Haile Sellassie (born July 23, 1892;  Täfäri Makʷennin wolde-Mikáèl [ተፈሪ መኳንን ወልደ ሚካኤል]).

In Ejersa Goro in the Harage Province, some 18 miles outside the city of Harar, Ethiopia. he was born to Ras Makʷennin (or pronounced Makonnen) & Yashimabet Ali; even in a Christ-like manner in rural Harar, of the late 1800s [1892].  He was the son of Ras Makʷennin, Governor of Harar under his kinsman, Emperor Menelik IIRas Makonnen, a Shoa Amharan noble, was married to an Oromo, Yashimabet, who died two years after Lij Tafari’s birth.  The youngest of ten children,  Täfäri was the only surviving and legitimate son of Ras Makonnen, the governor of Harar, which allowed him to become involved in the political field (if you please…?), as far as, the Kingdoms of Ethiopia stood.

In a significant break with precedence, Lij Tafari Makonnen was raised with an understanding of world affairs, and with an exposure to the outside world. He was to become the first Emperor of Ethiopia to have traveled extensively abroad.

Ras Makonnen, and therefore Lij Tafari Makonnen, were directly of the Solomonic Line, as was Emperor Menelik himself and Tafari Makonnen’s great-great grandfather, Negus Sahela Selassie, of Shoa. King Sahela (Sahle) Selassie had already made treaties with foreign states, including Queen Victoria’s Britain.

The coming forth of Haile Sellassie to the earthly plane was an emphatic occurrence that its still celebrated to this day in age, especially by Ras Tafarians worldwide.  Mainly because of its prophetic institution, and Biblical reverence within historical events.  These succeeding events that took place, worldwide but especially in Ethiopia, brought about the recognition of the importance of the Scriptures, in real time.

2nd (ክፍል/פרשה) Study: Ras Tafari Renaissance Revelations

Greetings in the name of His & Her Imperial Majesties Qedamawi Haile Sellassie I & Itege Menen Asfaw,

432_417386508351927_1732265329_n

I welcome you all to a new regenartion of cycle Torah readings!  This is another one of the many interpretations of the Scriptures from the light of Ras Tafari by, I, Lidj Yefdi (pronounced Lij, Yef-dee).

I assure you that if you are patient with me, come with a willing mind and heart(ready to learn), you will receive more than what you might have asked for, in seeking the perspective of a Ras Tafarian’s I-sight (eyesight) into the study of the Scriptures.

So,with this Hebrew Shabbot(or Sabbath day) if those who actually open up their Bibles to read in a Jewish/Hebrew cycle of readings, & thoroughly discern, have come to the opening of  the Torah portions with Nōăcḥ-נֹחַ.  On the Jewish or Hebraic Calendar in this year 5775, this Sabbath day would probably fall on the 30th-ל, of the month of Tishrei-תִּשְׁרִי, & the 1st-א, of the month of Cḥeshw(v)an-חֶשְׁוָן, [this Hebraic month is also known as; Marcḥeshw(v)an-מַרְחֶשְׁוָן]for this week, in this mode of study; for those out in the diaspora or outside of Jerusalem/Israel.  (The Hebrew Calendar corresponds to a Lunar cycle of the Moon) &, from an Ethiopic-Christian perspective, in what may be known as the year 2007/2027/7507, on the Ethiopic calendar.  This calculation, with its readings from the Scriptures, would align to the 14th-፲፬, & the 15th-፲፭, on the (ወርኀ)month of T’Qĭmt-ጥቅምት.

In the Scriptures, this portion of study would also be known as YeNōcḥ-የኖኅ.  The Ethiopic calendar is solar (with its correspondence to the Sun) aligns to this Sabbath (or Senbet-ሰንበት) in the Ethiopian language of Amharic, which is currently one of the languages of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (the other language being Ge’ez-(ግእዝ).

Readings:

Genesis 6:9 – 11:32

Isaiah 54:1- 55:5

Matthew 24: 36-46

I Peter 3: 18-22

As we enter into our second portion of the study of the Scriptures, we give thanks to Abba-Father, for his grace and seek continuously his knowledge & wisdom, earnestly.

This portion of study comprises the story of Noah and his three(3) sons, also the Tower of Babel.  Three very intricate stories, that have told & re-told from various perspectives.  But, in this compilation we focus on the ancient Hebraic, Ethiopic-Christian and the modern Ras Tafarian perspectives; mainly to stay on topic and bring forward a balanced viewpoint unbiased to the truth of these elaborate mythos.

In continuation of the Torah studies, on this Sabbath the times of Noah, are the focus.  The study portions deal mostly with the Great Flood, (which has a significant resemblance of the Epic of Gilgamesh mythos).

noach - parsha [great flood and the Ark]

This portion also deals with the building of Noah’s Ark, which God had commanded him to build for the coming of the Great Flood.  Mainly for the iniquity of the world.  The world before the flood had become extremely corrupted  and vain, so God had planned to “wash” the world in a sense, of its corrupted mentality.

After the Flood, Noah made an offering to God.  God at this point, vowed that

“the Earth would not again be cursed to the ground any more for man’s sake.  The imagination of man’s heart evil [vain] from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.”

The studies also bring us to the truths and lies of the alleged “Curse of Ham.”

Supposedly in the interpretations of the story of Noah’s sons; the three men were of three different races.  Truthfully speaking we here at RRR, could not consent to this external Biblical interpretations of most of these commentators.  Our reasoning can be found in the confirmation of the sciences that give a more profound elaboration of these ancient texts.  For example, in regards to the “RACE” question of the three sons of Noah; we clearly recognize that proven by science congruent to the Scriptures, there is only ONE race (human).

The Sabbath readings also conclude with the story of the Tower of Babel.  Another story from the Scriptures that has been diluted with its dissemination.
