Greetings in the name of His & Her Imperial Majesties Qedamawi Haile Sellassie I & Itege Menen Asfaw,

I welcome you all to yet another posting here at Ras Tafari Renaissance! This is another one of the many interpretations of the Scriptures from the light of Ras Tafari by, I, Lidj Yefdi (pronounced Lij, Yef-dee).
As we bring 2021’s month of August to a close, and quickly approach September along with this site’s renewal focal point we reflect on a couple of little known giants of their respective fields of expertise. Before that we encourage our site’s visitors to again put more emphasis on education, in ALL things! Seeing as the last couple of years have been quite the unexpected, to say the least.
(as pertaining to current outbreak situation; and worldwide economic conundrum)
We remind ones that this particular time of year is not only significant to us here at Ras Tafari Renaissance Revelations but also, the greater society. Especially, those with stronger focuses on business, finance, economics, etc. We approach a spiritually important point in a cyclical pattern of practice and discipline seen in the Hebraic and much older eastern Orthodox-Christian communities.
( – to some degree many can account this to Islamic, and also more archaic societal orders and tribal lineages and groups. )

Reggae pioneer, and iconic sound engineer/music producer Rainford Hugh “Lee Scratch” Perry (R), was reported to have passed away on the twenty-ninth [29], of the month. Perry, not only has been accredited with being the first known to create the sounds that produced and became used as Reggae and Dub Step, but is also rumored and many attest to him being the first producer of ones such as: …”Bob” Marley, Peter Tosh, & Bunny Wailer, before their formation with into the “Wailers.” Perry is also known for being quite an influential individual throughout the Jamaican and the Ras Tafari, communities.
“There is an abundance of serious scholars in the African American canon, but few as intrepid, wide-ranging, and resourceful as Runoko Rashidi. When you have interviewed John G. Jackson, Ivan Van Sertima, and challenged the conclusions of Cheikh Anta Diop as Rashidi did, then your credentials are unquestionable. An obituary states that Rashidi passed on August 2, but his prodigious research, his profound and endless curiosity on the global African presence is forever with us.

In times such as these, where so much uncertainty arises and, clouds the otherwise, straight-forward judgment and “business-as-usual,” attitudes of many people in our world today we find ourselves instead, having notions of reminiscing of periods when the aforementioned was the order of the day. But, as the world continues to change and spin, we’ve been thrusted to into an adjustment period that has been quietly in the works, for quite some time. As the ‘Fiscal year,’ or the one-year term (usually twelve month term especially, in the United States of America, and corresponds to the rest of the Western Hemisphere or known “western world” nations.) for government and business financial reporting, this time period ironically correlates to the Ethiopic & Hebraic times of renewal. This realization also speaks to the earlier asserted point of an adjustment period in which many scholastics would attests to the manner and forms in which we account to the calculations of counting time, days, months, and years is different or at the least altered from the way we account for these calculations today.
[ – simply put, New Year times/calculations]

Now, with this all in mind come to our second highlighted individual for his prominent influence among Ras Tafari and moreso, the Reggae and greater musical community. Rainford Hugh “Lee Scratch” Perry
The Jamaican Observer reports that Perry died Sunday at the Noel Holmes Hospital in western Jamaica. Cause of death was unknown at press time. Andrew Holness, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, tweeted Sunday, “My deep condolences to the family, friends, and fans of legendary record producer and singer, Rainford Hugh Perry, O.D.(Order of Distinction; a Jamaican national honors system honorific title of achievement), affectionately known as ‘Lee Scratch’ Perry. He has worked with and produced for various artistes, including Bob Marley & the Wailers, the Congos, Adrian Sherwood, the Beastie Boys, and many others. Undoubtedly, Lee “Scratch” Perry will always be remembered for his sterling contribution to the music fraternity. May his soul Rest In Peace.”

These two individuals passing at this time pendant time in season gives quite the perspective for those who’re more in tune, with the spiritual and historical aspects of similar topics from which we discuss here often. Even with all of the commotion of the current pandemic, though it seems to be sliding to the downtrend slightly, we reflect on the coming years in hopes that much understanding and careful tactics of restructuring ones lives and environments, for the better, becomes the new normal.

Since the inception of Ras Tafari it has been clear that the Ras Tafarians proclaim ancestral heritage with Hebraic peoples of antiquity. Sharing ancestry with the Imperial House of David’s, Solomonic Dynasty, in Ethiopia; by way of King Solomon & the Queen of Sheba. With that said, seeing how Ethiopia has become the ONLY Christian church upholding its Hebraic traditions intact, it should hold a critical place in the Ras Tafari faithful and those alike’s minds to adhere to original Christian and Hebraic practices.

So, in this post we here at Ras Tafari Renaissance would like to put, all that continue to, and are maybe, just checking out the site for the first time on notice. In the continuance of bringing you all, Ras Tafari interpretations of the Scriptures from a Bible-based foundation, we’ll also bring about the basics of over-standing Hebraic Observances/Holidays/Holy Days, and build on that foundation.
As the year comes to a close from ancient ways of time-keeping to the more modern ways, Ras Tafari Renaissance comes to the Hebraic New Year, with the anticipation of bringing the blog viewers into a deeper understanding of what is being produced here on this site. Bringing more of the Hebrew and Amharic languages, into comprehension and use.
