Greetings in the name of His & Her Imperial Majesties Qedamawi Haile Sellassie I & Itege Menen Asfaw,

I welcome you yet another post here on Ras Tafari Renaissance as of course today stands as monumental in the community of Ras Tafari, historical in the land of Ethiopia, and the continent of Africa; celestial in the sense of astrology; and so many other things we could bring up for the significance of this posting.

Ras Tafari Renaissance writes to give perspective to the Ethiopian commemoration of what is known in Ras Tafarian circles as the “EarthStrong” or Birth date of Ras Tafari, H.I.M.self.  Prophecies were fulfilled, constellations were aligned, what more can we here at Ras Tafari Renaissance say about the birth date, of His Imperial Majesty Haile Sellassie (born July 23, 1892;  Täfäri Makʷennin welde-Mikáèl [ተፈሪ መኳንን ወልደሚካኤል]).

In Ejersa Goro,  he was born to Ras Makʷennin & Yashimabet Ali, just outside of Harar; even in a Christ-like manner in rural Harar, of the late 1800s. The youngest of ten children,  Täfäri was the only surviving and legitimate son of Ras Makonnen, the governor of Harar, which allowed him to become involved in the political field (if you please…?), as far as, the Kingdoms of Ethiopia stood. 

Ras Makonnen, a member of the Solomonic Dynasty, son of Fitwari Wolde-Mikael Gudisa of Shewa (or Shoa) & the grandson of Negus Sahle Selassie of Shewa (or Shoa).  Makonnen married and bear his children with Yashimabet Ali.

The Solomonic dynasty, also known as the “House of Solomon,” is the former ruling Imperial House of the Ethiopian Empire. Its members claim patrilineal descent from King Solomon of Israel (King of David) and the Queen of Sheba from antiquity (otherwise known of by names like “Bilquis,” “the queen of the south,”) but truly known as Eitye Azeb.  Tradition asserts that the Queen gave birth to Menelik I, after her biblically described visit to Solomon in Jerusalem.

The coming forth of Haile Sellassie to the earthly plane was an emphatic occurrence that its still celebrated to this day in age, especially by Ras Tafarians worldwide.  Mainly because of its prophetic institution, and Biblical reverence within historical events.  These succeeding events that took place, worldwide but especially in Ethiopia, brought about the recognition of the importance of the Scriptures, in real time.
